Don't kill the stoke, Chris!!! ;)

Great to have new folks learning windsurfing and then branching out.

I am "local legend" Lame Lenny - pretty shitty/average at everything - and still love windsurfing, kiting, kite-foiling (pretty shitty at that) , wind-foiling and now winging.

Let's get this newbie some decent windsurf gear!

hi OP, did you find what you were looking for?
I have some very nice beginner gear that I am 'looking to get rid of'.

Mast base, mast foot, modern aluminum boom all included.
Sail: Sailworks QUADRO 3.5 with matching 40% carbon mast

Sale price:
$650 CAD

i started in the early 80's. i had a 180 litre beginner board and a 120 litre slalom board. i found out that the key was to get super comfortable with waterstarting. every chance i got i went to esquimalt lagoon and practiced my waterstarts and getting into the footstraps, when it was at least 18 knots with the 120l and a 6m sail. After that all i wanted to do was upgrade and find more wind. Other beginner friendly spots would be something like Nitinat, where, there are lots of people and everyone is friendly and willing to give help to get into the sport. I think everyone would agree that the better your gear the easier it will be.
