I used to give lessons at Willows Beach on light Southeast. The Willows wannabes.
The old learning ground of elk Lake is useless in my opinion, but you could try there as well. Ross bay is a tough gusty beginner launch and nasty downwind exit IMO, suit yourselves.

Well, self proclaimed experts who’d rather not drive another 1/2 hr might be able to launch at neck point park.

You can wing but not really safely kite at Pipers, maybe you could try that? Not many Kiters left, many switched. Drive to Nitinat or China Creek you’ll still have lots of company and maybe connect with some locals ….but then you could figure all that

You may find some companions at San Pariel or Rathtrevor beaches. Don’t think Nanoose has a decent launch for kiting. The wiki will tell you wind directions for each place, forecast & latest page is your link to the graphs, but I think you could find all that

One piece (15’) carbon masts were rare and now are likely history. Usually the 2 pieces are rarely 8’ long each so you may need to look elsewhere for 10’ pieces
