Re: New KT toys dropping!
I think 85 cm mast is fine for para. 77cm is too, but more care on avoiding breaching is needed. 77cm is super reactive and surfy though. Narrower chords will really help with yawing the foils (especially the big ones). Titanium fuse would be cool but aluminum is still super rigid and works well ...

Re: Updating underwater hardware
I really enjoyed the Army gear I rode and found the Performance masts and HA V2 foils to be massive upgrades. A soft mast is irritating and really degrades the experience of foiling especially if you're taller and heavier than average. Armstrong's system is proven (though it has its detractors) and ...

Re: Armstrong UHA vs HA
Stabs have a huge effect and can transform a glidey foil to one that is happier to roll/turn and can make a surfier foil more glidey all within reason. For example my Atlas 960 (AR 11) with an Atlas 170 tail (similar AR) is glidey but resists sharper turns. Put a Nomad 155 tail on it (AR 9-ish) and ...

Re: Best Columbia Beach Tide on NW?
For CB, tide doesn't matter so much for foiling. You either have a shorter or longer walk to the ocean depending on what the tide is doing
. Water gets deep enough for the foil regardless; just watch for the short sand bar that's in front of the launch. Otherwise you're good to go any tide.

Re: looking for cheap set up for starting windsurfing
No, I can't seem to let it go! If I lived at CB, Tofino, Oregon, etc, I'd still be windsurfing a ton. I miss jumping, looping, and smacking the lip a lot. My brother may take my windsurfing gear and put it to use.

I have a lot of surfing experience but looking for an off season sport and windsurfing is really interesting me lately. Looking for a cheap package with everything to get out on the water. I have a wetsuit stuff already ...

Re: Paros, Greece in June
Wow, lots here to digest! Thanks so much for taking the time, Ian! We'll be visiting other places too, but Paros sounds like the best bet for wind. Very much appreciated!

Nice, Kus! Footage looks like it was from a pretty classic CB day too. Love the slow motion beach starts

Re: How to travel with foiling equipment?
I've read that some people are getting good results using crossbow bags off amazon for foils that are mounted one piece to the fuse, then pad/bubble wrap the heck out of them.
