I’m just trying to figure out the local spots as I’m new to this area … Where do people kite/wing on a NW wind in the Comox area?!!!

There are several spots - Singing Sands (near Little River ferry terminal), Air Force Beach (good sand), Point Holmes (good waves) and Kye Bay. There are rocks at some of the areas (such as to the left of the boat ramp at Point Holmes), so its best to go a low tide to visually mark their locations to avoid nasty suprises!
