Flights of Spring Regatta sponsored by Jericho S.A. Sailing in our 7 boat X class with regular HSC boats and a couple from Jericho. Good turnout of Lasers and ~ 13 Wazps and 3 iQFoils (latter two for there own starts on a very short course) due to Wind. Biggest fleets are Wazps & Laser Radial with 10 or more on the water. I took the 5.7m as it was rigged and our Hollyburn fleet were towed over to Jericho with me n my gear sitting on the front of the RIB. (There's a first for everything). Over all the sailing was pretty nice with up to 40 Degree shifts and an odd shifting current mix. Starts were easy with such a small fleet. Keeping up was not so easy me being 225 geared up and such a small sail.. I was the only boat rigged for Cruising rather than Racing. No Wingers could make the start or keep up. Simply not enough wind or the wingers are two big and heavy or too inexperienced in 8 knot norms. More sailing Sunday. With Pizza and Prizes after.
