    So, even though I was pretty exhausted, the swell was up and I decided to go for a wing session.
    Getting through the shorebreak was a serious thing. Not like Big Bay—totally different situation. I ended up throwing my board and foil over the sets when I could stand, letting the wing drag, then desperately jumping on and paddling for dear life… not worrying about the wing at all.
    Got lucky. Found a break. Made it out.
    And then—yeah—managed to snag some pretty good bombs.
    But then my wing started slowly deflating.
    I was pretty far out, wind cross-off, and suddenly I’ve got a saggy fucking noodle in my hands. At that point it’s like… if I don’t get up soon, I am properly up shit creek without a paddle.
    So I panicked. Pumped like hell. Got a gust. Hightailed it home.
    The wind here is super spotty, so I dropped off foil and ended up with a pretty solid paddle back in.
    But honestly—our shoulders are our saviors. That paddle power is everything. The hype is real, my friends,
