Arrived to a bunch of doods on the beach and H-Rock out foiling off C-Lover. Chatted for a bit then decided to rig the 5.0m KT Direct Drive. Great choice Bobson!! Lasted for awhile then was overpowered so decided to rig the newish 4.5m KT Astro. Not the best idea Bobson. Had a chat with Sir-Lance-a-Lot and H-Rock and told them I like to be underpowered rather than overpowered. Well, that came true. Headed out and didn't foil till way outside, then got into the tide heading East fast. Tried schlogging upwind to get back to RB. Luckily the wind came up and was able to pinch right up 50 meters from the launch, paddled in the rest. Came in and got the 5.0m, Boom, overpowered again so came in again and grabbed the 4.5m again. Again, bad choice Bobson. Wind was 10-14kts and definitely not enough to get foiling in the wavy-ness. Frustration of the last 40 mins was 9 out of 10, finally get to my feet then no wind and large waves, fall and repeat. Decided that was enough and was able to catch a gust and foiled right into the beach, nice. Other than that if was a good learning day as I learned some things when under-powered and was able to foot pump the board better than before. 4 more days off, hoping for some more.
